Thank you to the few who attended the AGM, there were many reports from Affiliated clubs and groups which illustrates that there are a variety of activities for all ages providing enjoyment and within our community, from sports to socialising to activities for young children. However the clubs, groups and the association rely on members of the community contributing by serving on committees to ensure the activities happen. When you read through this newsletter you will notice that there are several groups who need help. Please contact them if you feel you could contribute, no one expects this to be a life time’s commitment but it all works to make our community a good place to live.

I would like to thank Glyn Yeoman who has retired from the association committee having severed for over 16 years in numerous roles and as chairman. Glyn has kindly offered to continue helping with organising the newsletter distribution. I would also like to thank Claudia Gathercole who, as a busy working mum, has resigned from the committee after several years and done a fantastic job minuting our meetings.
