It was good to see so many people attending the Annual Dinner at Spice’s Restaurant in November and all had a good time. Our next major event is the Annual AGM which is being held at the BH Sports and Community College in early March. This is an opportunity for members to voice their opinions on the direction of the Association and hear the good things the schools are doing and want to further develop.
In the coming year there will be the usual events and activities. As part of our environmental emphasis we are going to trial a plant swap event in the spring, work more closely with the local schools and hope to announce further initiatives.
The affiliates groups and committee all provide an excellent breadth of activities, helping create a pleasant, safe and neighbourly environment.
This association is an excellent non-partisan vehicle to make a difference for the better of the community we are all part of. As a working father with a young family life is hectic, I know it can be difficult making time to contribute but it’s worth the investment because some things can’t be bought and community is one of them.
We hope to see you at the AGM read more in this news letter.
